Acted as planning consultant and agent for a successful prior approval Class MA application to change the use of vacant retail floorspace to five one bed flats granted in January 2024. Liaised with noise and daylight consultants to provide technical information to support the application and the client regarding drawings and providing evidence, by way of a statutory declaration, that the property had been vacant for over 3 months. Alongside the co-ordination role I produced a Supporting Statement to demonstrate how the proposals complied with relevant requirements of Class MA. The application followed a successful lawful development certificate application to confirm the property had been in retail use for over 10 years and applications to insert new windows into existing and new openings within the building.
