Acted as planning consultant and agent for a pre-application enquiry and the planning and listed building consent applications for the conversion and extension of a former garage building to a two-bed dwelling. The building lies within the curtilage of a Grade II listed building and within The Orchard Conservation Area. Working with the client, I instructed architects, ecologists and an arboriculturalist to provide drawings and technical supporting information. I produced a Planning & Heritage Statement with the applications to demonstrate how the proposals complied with relevant planning policy and guidance. I liaised with the Planning & Conservation Officers, meeting them on site to discuss the proposals, and liaised with the architects regarding amendments to reach a successful conclusion. Planning permission and listed building consent were obtained in December 2023.
