Training centre, Knowsley Industrial Estate (February 2026)

Prepared, submitted and managed a planning application for the change of use of 1,362sqm storage units (Use Class B8) to a training centre (Use Class F1(a)) for the renewable energy sector.

Key roles included:

• working with the client on providing the evidence to demonstrate the need for the use to overcome potential issues regarding the loss of employment land.

• working with the client’s architects on preparing the necessary drawings.

• producing a Planning Statement to address planning policy issues which also included a site specific flood risk assessment.

• managing the planning application following submission including liaison with and responses to the planning case officer.

• liaising with the client on progress with and issues relating to the application.

The application was granted planning permission under delegated authority within the 8 week statutory period in February 2026.
