Roxboro House, St Helens (December 2024)

Acted as planning consultant for a planning application to change the use of a dwellinghouse to a small children’s home for 3 children between 8-18 years of age. I worked with the client on the production of a Management Plan for the proposed home and with the architect on the existing and proposed site and floor plans. I produced a Planning Statement to address planning policy issues as well as establishing the need for a children’s home through identifying relevant Council documents in relation to children’s residential homes provision and need in St Helens.

I liaised with the client during the application process and advised them on responses to comments raised on arboriculture and transport issues as well as from local residents. Following negotiations with the case officer, planning permission was granted in December 2024 following the validation of the application in October 2024.
